Ummm … there’s some amount of trepidation as the first thing that hit me when i loaded the page was this semi-blinking banner announcing a weekend price crash. That takes away from what overall is a clean design.
-
The navigation ribbon at the top isn’t very helfpul.
-
I do love the Top Promotions at the right with nice little banners for the promotions.
-
Like i said earlier the top ribbon that sorta flashes - really sucks.
-
Also i don’t understand why they have 3 ways to navigate on the main page i.e. the top ribbon, the browse on the left, and the main grid. Perhaps a bestsellers list would be better (instead of the left ‘browse’ section). Note: They have ‘Top Searches’ and ‘BestSellers’ sections at the bottom - however what percentage of customers are actually going to scroll down. interesting to find out what usability studies say.

There’s a promotion for 3 mobile broadband that seems very out of place i.e. save up to £350 off the normal in-store price of your laptop when you sign up for 3 mobile broadband.
Anyways, i’m going to add more later - for now, i like the clean design and think they’re wasting a lot of prime estate.
