Laithwaites Wine Website Rating and Guide
Laithwaites Wine starts building credibility right from the first page with a banner that says they were Independent Wine Merchant of the Year 2007 (it’d be nice if they indicated what publication gave them the honour). They also have a letter from Tony Laithwaite which basically is all about building trust and credibility. They do have 30 years experience and a huge range (1500 or so wines).

Laithwaites Shop Rating - Laithwaites gets a strong 4 stars rating.
- Fun - .5 stars - its not that fun - however its nice and clean cut and Tony’s journal is a nice touch.
- Navigation - 1 star - really good navigation. Also they have good details on product pages. They could add on more to the intermediate pages, however am not going to hold that against them.
- Value for money - .75.
- Information - .75 The wine advisor is a great touch. They also have good information on wine and Tony’s Diary (basically a blog by Tony Laithwaite).
- Quality - 1.
A few more thoughts on Laithwaites -
Laithwaites do not sell Spirits. They have an amazing range - As an indicator of the range Laithwaites has there are 79 Chilean wines, 242 Australian wines, 753 wines from France, 196 Spanish wines, 139 Italian Wines, and 45 New Zealand wines. For a quick comparison Tesco has 52 chilean wines, 29 New Zealand wines, 59 Spanish wines. So Laithwaites really does have excellent range.
